I've never scatch-built anything before in my life, and so I figure there
was a first time for everything. I've always wanted a plastic model kit of the
Borg cube from Star Trek: The Next Generation. But they never produced one. Since
this was a pretty simple ship design--it's a big cube, after all--I thought I
try and built one myself, using styrene sheets.

I raided my spare parts box for various stuff to put on the surface. And I discovered
that I quickly ran out of stuff. Looks like I didn't have as much spare parts as I thought, huh?
I'll keep adding bits and pieces to this, and will keep you up to date on its
progress.

Updated July, 12 2009: I've added several more parts to the Borg cube, and it's
starting to look a little more cluttered. Since I became more careful about
what pieces to add, the build has slowed down somewhat, but it's getting there.

Updated July, 27 2009: I've added far more parts to the cube today. It's looking
better, with less open spaces that make up a more cluttered appearence overall--which
is what I was going for all along. The more stuff I add, the harder the cube becomes
to handle. I should build a base for this sucker.
