Robby The Robot

When Polar Lights released this Robby The Robot model, I simply had to get one. I've been a huge fan of Forbidden Planet since I first saw it as a kid. The model is pretty easy to build. I primarily painted him with Tamiya Gun Metal. It has a nice polish to it.

My Federation Officer beams down to a planet where she receives some unwanted attention. Altaira was the young woman (played by the fetching Anne Francis) in the film Forbidden Planet, who the intrepid space explorers discovered living with her scientist father on a distant (and forbidden) planet. As their servant, Robby was at their constant beck and call.
