Frankenstein's night out

By Sean Farrell

I built the Moebius plastic model of the Frankenstein monster with a slightly different twist. Just for the hell of it, I decided to give him a tie and collar, sculpted from Apoxie putty. Of course, when I did this, it changed the whole model. I saw him as either coming home from work, or out on the town with his friends (Dracula, Wolfman and the Creature).

I made a small table for him out of balsa wood and stained it with brown paint. I wanted to keep the wood look, rather than paint the table over entirely. Once I had a table for Frank, I made him a cell phone--an iPhone, actually--out of Apoxie. Then I printed out a piece of junk mail. I figured that Frank would drop these on the table as soon as he entered the door. Instead of an all-black outfit, I painted Frankie's suit True Blue, and gave him a red power tie. This is a fun kit from Moebius; I had a blast working on it.
